It was 50 years ago this weekend when Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper played their last concert. They died in a plane crash. Cousin Mary Kay Stein is rockin' and rollin' at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa to commemmorate that Feb. 2, 1959 concert. The plane crash occurred hours later around 12:10 a.m. the next day. I can't find a really good tribute to the three which includes their music. But here are some song choices you can click on and listen - and remember.
